Marvel received his J.D. cum laude and certificate of dispute resolution from Pepperdine School of Law in 2021. During law school, he interned at the Western Center on Law on Poverty, the Legal Aid Clinic at the Union Rescue Mission, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Marvel served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review and published a Note and Comment titled, “Dear Courts: I, Too, Am a Reasonable Man.”
After law school, Marvel worked as a Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles at the D.O.O.R.S (Developing Opportunities and Offering Reentry Solutions) community reentry center, where he focused on and provided holistic reentry services to the formerly incarcerated and system-impacted families. Before law school, Marvel received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Pre-law) from California State University, Fresno, and upon graduation, he worked as a Judicial Assistant at the Superior Court of California, County of Fresno.
