Marshal is a Policy Fellow at Root & Rebound, where he helps advance Root & Rebound’s legislative agenda in California. He also represents clients facing legal issues related to their probation and parole conditions. He received his J.D. from Berkeley Law in 2023. While in law school, he interned with the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and the Office of Supervisor Dean Preston, in San Francisco. He also participated in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Consumer Justice Clinic and was a member of the Berkeley Abolitionist Lawyering Project.

 

Marshal was born and raised in the Bay Area, where he currently lives. In his free time, he enjoys reading and writing speculative fiction. You can also find him at his local flea market, or running at his local track.
