Bella is an AmeriCorps VISTA, NorCal Outreach and Partnership Coordinator. Her involvement centers around increasing Root and Rebound’s capacity to provide referrals for social and legal assistance while improving outreach so more people can be connected to R&R services. To help clients obtain self-sufficiency, she will focus on building out the referral database that pertains to California organizations offering housing, employment, education, and other support for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals.
As a recent graduate of UC Davis with a BA in International Relations, she understands the importance of learning about the ways the U.S. carceral system creates immense setbacks and barriers for individuals seeking reentry while aiming to support an organization dedicated to humanizing the people burdened by this system, lessening the impact people undergo and endeavoring to make system change on a broader scale.
