R&R wins SF human rights commission award
This July, Root & Rebound’s team was honored to receive a 2016 Hero Award from the San Francisco Human Rights Commission for our work advancing civil rights in San Francisco’s diverse and multicultural communities!
The Human Rights Commission works to increase equality, eradicate discrimination, and to protect human rights for all people. Each year, the HRC and its Equity Advisory Committee seek to acknowledge and honor those individuals and organizations who, through their daily efforts, advance civil and economic rights in San Francisco’s diverse and multicultural communities.
Thank you to Jason Bell and Project Rebound for nominating R&R and working alongside us for the last 3 years! This year’s theme was “organizing for justice.”
A huge thanks goes to everyone in the Root & Rebound community (including our staff, law clerks, interns, volunteers, board, advisory board, community partners, and donors and supporters) who every day make our work possible in San Francisco, the Bay Area and across California. This is for all of you.
